Vacation time at last!

We are off for 2 weeks vacation, heading to the International Seabean Symposium in Cocoa Beach, FL (check out seabeans HERE!!) We'll also spend a little time in St. Augustine, and in Englewood on the Gulf side...

I've already looked up scrapbook/rubber stamping stores in those areas ... there are so few where I live that I make a point to do that whenever I go anywhere! Hope the truck is big enough for whatever I find, LOL!!!

Before I go, wanted to share a picture of a birthday card made and easy!

I think I'm too forgetful to be a blogger...

I keep forgetting to come here and ADD a post!

But I remembered today, when an order of goodies showed up on my doorstep. 3 new Cricut cartridges, several new embossing folders to play with. And I made a quick Hobby Lobby run on Monday when I had to take a half-day off work to go pick our friend up from the airport, and got a few fun things there plus used the 40% coupon (you notice I don't generally forget THOSE!!) - on a Spellbinder "Fanciful Tags" set.

Can't be much more specific because some of my order included stuff for my sis in WV and while I've mailed it off to her, it hasn't reached her yet so just in case she should look at this I don't want to spoil her surprise!

Anyway - all this fun stuff, and we are leaving for two weeks vacation early early Saturday morning so I am not going to have a chance to play with ANY of it until I get back! RATS. At least I'll have lots to look forward to when I get home...

I am planning to take several of my Paper Wishes monthly card kits and a few very basic crafting supplies with me so when the guys are snorkeling for sharks teeth on the Florida coast I can be happily crafting away with a view of the ocean!

Hope I get to check out this rubber stamping store in St. Augustine, FL, that I saw on an internet search too! "Claire's Collectibles"...looked like she had a lot of stuff!!

So no complaints here - I'm well & truly blessed and extremely grateful for it, and have a vacation to look forward too and crafty stuff to play with after it is is good.

Hope yours is too, and that you are all making time to do some YOU stuff in the midst of everything you all do for everyone else in your lives!

The best part of having to drive 3 1/2 hours into the office is...

that I can also manage to work in stops at some scrapbook stores I rarely get to visit!! Went to ARCHIVER'S today - wow, that is some store! I got some SIZZIX Textured Impression embossing folders, and a couple of packages of UNITY Stamps...and their special to get a Tim Holtz bag with purchase of $30 or more was extended...and of course, no question that I met THAT qualification!!

I'm hoping to go by Lone Star Scrapbooking on my way home tomorrow afternoon...they have a 40% off any item thing going on so if nothing else I plan to check out their Spellbinders, which you know I love...they usually have a pretty good selection!

Still, glad I don't have to do this too often...just got done revising my presentation I have to give tomorrow(if you'd all be so kind as to send some good vibes my way around 10...that they don't ask me something I can't give a good answer for...thankyouverymuch!!)

All for now - I'd better get to bed or I'll fall asleep halfway thru the presentation, can't have that!

Sunday stuff...

Another gorgeous Sunday here, and I think the cold front we've been hearing about on the news is on its way at can feel just a hint of it in the breeze today.   I want it to take a little time getting here, so that it can keep TS Matthew away from us, but I am SOOO ready for cooler weather and less humidity!
Just had to call the A/C guy - compressor finally bit the dust in the upstairs A/C...he warned us about a year and a half ago it was going...
Wanted to share a card I made for a friend's birthday, very simple...we are going for cake and ice cream later today!

I used the Tonic cupcake punch, and an EK Success border punch, with papers from the "Chick-a-Dee" pad by SEI - LOVE this paper pack!!!

And look at my new Spellbinders stash - Beaded Ovals and Eyelet Circles FINALLY arrived.  Plus I ordered Ribbon Tag Trio 2, and picked up Fleur De Lis a few weeks ago with a HL 40% off coupon! Can't wait to play with these.
