This year's theme for the blog hop is gardening. I chose this beautiful garden scene from one of my all-time favorite Paper Wishes paper packs, Bohemian Sarapapers, to highlight on my card; added a couple of cute little die-cut birds and some I-rock tiny gems for their eyes and some pearly pink ones for the center of the flowers! I haven't decided what I'll use this card for yet, so haven't attached a sentiment but most likely will have one in that upper left corner....

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to leave a comment on all the blogs for a chance to win!   Your comment must be posted by noon U.S. Eastern time on Sunday, October 7 to be eligible for the Paper Wishes drawing.

Now, I also promised you a chance to win some blog candy, and here is a picture of what I will be sending one lucky winner...who will be drawn randomly from visitors who are also 'followers'!  Check back here on Tuesday, October 9 to find out if you've won!!

Hello World!

Well, I'm sure you are all tired of my constant "I've been neglecting my blog" refrain...but here it is again!  But you know, I spend all day at a computer at work, and don't have enough time to do crafty stuff anyway, so the blogging is usually kind of low on my to-do list..even though my intentions are GOOD, really they are, to post more often.  Mostly because I get so much enjoyment out of visiting other blogs, and want to be part of the 'giving' side of that.  (My grandma used to say the road to H - E - double L is paved with good intentions, LOL!!)

Anyway - my sister & I continue our challenges (although we are getting a little lazy about those too!) so I had to make a card with clouds on it...perfect time to try out some new paper, die and stamp I got recently...the paper pack is Heidi Grace's "Tweet Dreams Varnished Paper" (for which I can't find a link to show you, but I got it at Jo-Ann's) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this paper!  I used my new Cat's Pajamas "Cloud Border Die 019" to make the clouds, and also a new vertical stamp from Sweet Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by; it's so nice to have visitors!!  Be sure to come back on Saturday, October 6 and join the Paper Wishes message board blog hop - lots of prizes to be won!!!

CUTE Hot Fix Bling!

I made this card last night, using more paper from the Glitz "Afternoon Muse" pad, and some Paper Wishes ribbon, the PTI half & half die, and the cutest little black medallion hot fix circles my sister sent me!  The little flap lifts up to show the half & half coordinating sentiment stamp inside.

That ribbon looks perfectly straight when I look at the actual card!  GRRRR!

(And thanks for looking!!)

Papertrey Ink dies...

Had a bit of spare time today - hubby on a short Harley ride this weekend - and finally got to try out some Papertrey Ink die sets I got awhile back...These are using the "Half & Half" die set and the coordinating stamps - love them!  The paper on the first card is some scraps of Paper Wishes paper I had to use up.  The second card uses paper from Glitz Design called "Afternoon Muse"; such a pretty 8x8 pad.  I found it at Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for looking! So glad you stopped by!!

Sizzix Flip-Its dies

I first saw these at my local HL store, and grabbed the square one; since then I've been back several times - three to be exact, to get a square one and a fancy frame one for my sister, Pat, and then to back again to get the fancy frame one for ME!  AND...I'm addicted...I just love these!  I've even ordered a couple more online (the flower and the circle) and I'm lusting after the heart one as well!

Here's my first card, made with scraps from my stash, and my Vagabond!

LOVE my VAGABOND machine!

And if you love yours too, then head on over to the SIZZIX BLOG for a fun little thing they are doing:  "Where in the World is Your Vagabond?"...you get some freebies and a chance to win a prize and you know if it is from Sizzix whatever it is will be super!!

Here's the pic of my Vagabond; I keep it on my workstation, all plugged in and ready to go at all times!

LAZY DAY...

I really did plan to do all kinds of crafting today -- but, the weather was so pretty--warm, nice breeze.  So I spent most of the day with Mike, playing cards and sitting around talking, watching the dolphins in the Intracoastal and just generally relaxing.

So the card I have today is one I actually made a while ago when I wanted to try out the Spellbinders Fair Isle die set  my sis sent me for Christmas.  The brown background paper came already embossed from HL; the ribbon is from Hot Off the Press.  Thanks for looking and visiting!

BAD BAD Blogger!

My sister sent me a "good grief" IM this morning, kindly pointing out I had not updated my blog since October 1!  (which is totally NOT true - I changed to a Christmas background right after Thanksgiving, heehee!!)

I am such a lazy blogger.  Just too much other stuff going on and I am forgetful.  I'm the one that makes the list of what I need to take to the store and then forgets the list.  Every. Single. Time.  {sigh}

True Confessions over.

A little while ago, Pat got a Sew Easy Ribbon tool...but after playing with it a bit, decided she didn't really like it and didn't think she'd use it - so she sent it to me!!  And I LOVE it.  In fact, I've ordered the leaf, the zigzag and the shoelace tools because I liked the weave one she sent me so much.  So, here is the very first card I made using my hand-me-down toy.  The ribbon is the Sew Ribbon, and the paper is from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection - one of my absolute favorite papers ever I think!  I think the sentiment is from a Unity stamp.

Then on the Paper Wishes message board, we had a color challenge and the colors were lime green and chocolate.  So this is the card that I did for the color challenge  -- using Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss Distress Inks on the Color Me Swirls paper from Paper Wishes -- and using the Sew Ribbon tool (do you get obsessed with new toys and use them on everything when you first get them too?)
